St. Peter of Tarantaise (1102-1175)
Peter was an archbishop who devoted much energy to reforming his diocese. He removed corrupt and immoral clergy, aided the poor, and promoted education. He was a trusted advisor to popes and kings.
Reflections from the Saints

Submission to authority and co-responsibility for the common good make it morally obligatory to pay taxes, to exercise the right to vote, and to defend one's country.
